Who Am I

I'm a photographer based in the North East of England with a passion for shooting on 35mm film and have a great comprehension of lighting and composition. Being a film buff I often learn from movies how to paint a story and capture the moment aesthetically. I'm partial to taking pictures of people in their natural form and prefer the use of natural lighting to bring authenticity to my shots.

My style is moody, natural with a sensual tone; I embrace imperfection and keep my shots on the softer side - I rarely use autofocus for my own work as it takes the fun out of photography for me and I also prefer using vintage lenses which aren't as sharp but just enough to capture all the important details. Naturally because of these preferences I especially enjoy documentary style photography.
